Always wonderful, warm service and the BEST cocktails! Food is always on point, I've got several favorites. Great for just bar snacks or a full meal. Their house made ranch dip is crazy good...
Love this spot, unfortunately it's only open 3 nights a week. Run efficiently by just several lovely folks, this no frills bar serves an extensive menu of bar food. Between two people, we like to share a salad and a burger / sandwich. Portions are decent. While I wouldn't consider the food gourmet, everything is made to order and comes out fresh. The wall of hot sauce is fun, but none of them very spicy. The folks manning this place are down to earth and provide great service. Rather than a date night spot, it is more of a spot to enjoy a drink and dinner after a hard week of work. To top it off, there's always an action movie from the 80s or 90s on TV--perfect complement to the food and ambiance.
What a find! Jeff is a terrific host, the food is everything you'd want in a pub, and, yes, the drinks are as marvelous as other reviewers have said. Did I mention free video games? Awesome.
Such a cool spot. We accidentally stumbled in here last night and wow!! We'll definitely be back! Great vibes and such good banter! We were well taken care of and would've stayed to explore more of the drink and food menu if we didn't have a reservation for later that night. We tried the corn nuggets and they were PHENOMENAL! Try 'em, you won't regret it. We'll be coming back soon because this is just a really cool spot and there's a back patio, video games, and a projector on top of the impeccable vibes and folks here. New favorite bar in Oakland!

The owner/server was super nice and helpful, accommodating my vegetarian partner with a recently off menu vegetarian item. The portions are large, and everything was tasty from the fries to the vegetarian ravioli to the chicken parm. It's nicely lit, spacious, and has free video games. What's not to like?

We recently stopped by this spot for a bite and a beer and were greeted by the very friendly owner. He made us feel welcome and right at home. We had the boneless Buffalo chicken wings, a salad and the zucchini. Everything was delicious. Boneless Buffalo wings were crispy with loads of flavor. Maybe my favorite around! They have old school arcade games to play for free and a cute little patio to hang out and have a beer on. Our server was super friendly and fast. I really enjoyed our experience! We will be back.
Wow fantastic place, chill, easy going place with extensive mixed drinks menu and really good food. Got the fish n chips, loved it. Gotta try and Old Fashioned when at the Dinner House. Great bar for business travelers when in Downtown Oakland. Enjoyed talking with the bar tender. A home bar away from home, will definitely be back!
5 stars for the drinks and 5 stars for the friendly owners! Must try the multiple unique old fashioneds on menu (6 at the time of this writing) as they have unique flavors. Definitely a local spot you can be a regular at. Just make sure to check the hours before going since they're pretty limited.
